I recontracted via the retentions team on the 31st Jan at £91, same day the account was showing future bills all at £91.
checked today, and from april the cost has gone up to £98.49.
how can that be correct? not even 5 days into the contract and my price is going to rise??

Yup, it's correct. Prices rise every April.

Not had anything as yet.
Its the Signature and Netflix componants that have gone up, I suppose my only option is to cancel as i'm still well within the cooling off period.
my account showed all the future bills at the price I expected, I just happened to look at my account today to see the increase from April
apologies for the incorrect title, its 5 days ago.
I just can't get my head around how a new contract can be changed so quickly.

Yours will be the first of many posts... I'm not sure if the cooling off applies to recontracting prior to the new OfCom rules.
Prices increase every April - which you much have seen last year?

Fairly sure that the details of the April rise (though not the exact amount) would/should have been mentioned during the call when you agreed the new deal. It's usually within the bit where the agent says "I'm duty bound to read out the following standard terms and conditions" at which point we all switch off for a couple of minutes.
The call would have been recorded if you feel it wasn't mentioned.
