I signed up to TNT on Sky in the last few days. It still says you "cancel online anytime" which is not true I now find. Trade descriptions issue (removed).
Typical Sky. Easy to buy, hard to cancel.
Moderator note: Removed campaigning.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou might be able to do this online here:
https://www.sky.com/mysky/tv/tv-packs
If not then you need to contact Sky and give them 31 days notice to cancel it, so you can either call or use the messaging service to do this.

Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom of the page on the above link.

No. You can't cancel online using that link. You can see what subscriptions you have but can't cancel them
If some users can then why can't all Sky users.
I've been with Sky 17 years and the poor way it treats customers has never changed.

I've just found exactly the same problem. There is no way to cancel. Sky chatbot has zero info too.
Sky I want to cancel from today how do I do this?

You can't cancel from today, you must serve a notice period.
To remove part of your TV package you need to give 31 days notice. Be aware if you have 'in contract' discounts you may not be able to remove them. Also make sure cancellation of a certain add-on doesn’t cancel another discount. You may be able to remove it from your My Sky account at
https://www.sky.com/mysky/tv/tv-packs
otherwise you can either call Sky or use the messaging service to cancel this

The recommended link for removing subscriptions is not helpful unfortunately because you cannot remove any subscriptions from this page. I know people are trying to help but please don't continue to recommend this link which is of no use:

I only signed up for TNT Sports because the SKY sign-up screen specifically said you could cancel online. I know SKY of old so was not prepared to sign-up to a pack that could only be cancelled via inconvenient and lengthy phone calls. Now I find that I was misled anyway and will still have to go the inconvenient route. It's not good enough, especially since I now see customers have been complaining about this issue for a year or two.
I don't want to contrevene the rules of this forum by inciting complaints, campaigning or lobbying so suffice it to say, as a statement of fact, this seems to be a breech of the UK Trade Descriptions Act 1968 that prevents businesses from misleading consumers about their products and services. Specifically businesses must provide accurate information about their products. So SKY need to fix this.

and @caesarome used similar terminology.

I thought others with the same complaint as me would like to know my outcome. To recap: the issue is that when you sign up for TNT sports using My Sky from your TV it says you can cancel online at anytime. This then turns out to be false: you cannot cancel online as there is no facility for this either via your TV or the Sky website or app.
I therefore logged an official complain with Sky using the email complaints facility on the Sky website. I soon received a contact from their "Priority Customer Team". In a nutshell the guy on the line completely accepted the issue and also said he'd heard this complaint before and he would escalate to his management to get this fixed. I agreed that would be good but I pointed out that I had seen complaints about this going back to last year at least so it is very poor that Sky have not fixed this misleading information. The upshot was the Sky agent immediately removed TNT for me (no notice period necessary). So a satisfactory resolution which others may wish to follow.
While I had the agent on the phone (and as he seemed knowledgable) I asked him about improving my monthly bills which have got ridiculously high. As if by magic he was able to find all sorts of special offers on this system which in total for TV and broadband have cut some £50+ off my monthly Sky bills. That's great but it is so frustrating that Sky customers are not automatically informed of good offers and especially if, like me you are a supposed Sky VIP who has been with the company for many years (17+ in my case). I would feel more like a VIP and less like a cash cow if Sky proactively sought to give me the best deals going at all times and I did not have to chase Sky in order to find out about them.

If you are in a minimum term contract for Sky Sports then Sky do have the right to refuse the early cancellation of it.

Any discounted subscription will be for a minimum term of 24 months so you're not stuck in it till 2029.
