Why are I'm being charged for sky sports when I cancelled it

I've not left sky I've just took of sky sports but see I'm still being charged for it. Why is this

When (exactly) did you cancel it?
You cannot cancel immediately - you have to give 31 days notice and will be charged during that period (and past it). The following bill will generate a pro-rata credit.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreYou have to give 31 days notice to cancel Sky Sport. Your future bills continue to include Sky Sport until the end of the 31 days. But you'll only be charged up to day 31. Any overpayment beyond day 31 will be refunded.

Bills are generated 14 days before payment date. If you are still within the 31 day notice period then the bill is produced as normal - including the full month in advance.
The following bill will generate a credit back to the point of cancellation.
