Product change for existing customer
Hi,
Any ideas on how to get better offers as an existing customer?
Im a current SkyQ customer and have been with Sky for over 12 years.
My contract has come to an end and I called them yesterday about changing to SkyStream. Online new customers can get the Sky Ultimate TV package for £22 per month. This is the package I would like.
However as an existing customer the price is £32.
After much bartering with the CS agent it seems there is no movement on this price.
Im bitterly disappointed in Sky and will likely be cancelling my package with them for Hubby to set up a new account but wondered fisrt if anyone knew of a way existing customers can get the new customer offers? Many other companies actually seem to reward loyalty with better offers. But not Sky.

Sky will be very switched on to this ploy/tactic to try to get discounts only a new customer is entitled to.
Better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join.
If you choose to jump ship and go with another provider then in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position with that provider and if you want you'll be able to return to Sky as a new customer and gain the benefits at that time.

All we can suggest via here is to try again perhaps either later today or tomorrow to see if you get any movement on this but if not cancelling and going elsewhere is probably the thing to do.
