Hi,
My 18 month contract ends on 13th Jan and i've been told by Sky that my package will increase from this date.
Does this mean I'm now on a new 18 month contract or am I classed as being contract 'free'?

If your discount is ending you will need to contact Sky to try to negotiate a new deal which will require another minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount but if you sort something out to your satisfaction make a note of the date it’s ending.
You can either call Sky or use the following link https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave

Thanks for the prompt replies. I'm due to move sometime in the new year so I'll suffer the increase and see where I stand after the move.

You are free to cancel within 30 days of receiving the price increase email, this is regardless of the length of your contract.
I've just cancelled my broadband and as many cheaper deals out there.
Saw my neighbour taking down his sky box this morning after 20 years with them, I'm 10 years, in the past they looked after their customers, no longer true unfortunately.

For clarity that applies to broadband, but not Sky tv.
