For TV cancellations the latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you have to pay the remainder of the discounted term.

Absolutely disgusted with April price increase. Then mines going up again next month. Spoke to them can't/won't do anything until 14th May. Then I've got to contact them again. Nearly £100 per month for basic sky tv package. That's full of repeats. Then broadband. Thinking of going elsewhere after years of being with sky. Had no email saying my April bill would be £9 extra they just take what they want when they want. Just a complete rip off.

Sounds like your minimum term is ending too. You have to give 31 days notice - ensure you time this correctly.

Today I logged onto my online banking to discover my broadband charges had gone up from £34 to £39 a month - an increase of more than 10%. I cannot find any record of being told about this, I've had no letter, I can't find an email and there is nothing in the 'messages' section on my account.
When I called them up they're adament they emailed me but couldn't tell me what email address their notification came from. This matters because there is now an exit fee of more than £100 to leave and there wouldn't have been had I spotted it in time. It would also be a breach of contract if they haven't. When I told them I would be off in November when my contract expires they weren't remotely interested in keeping me which was the first time I've ever had that experience.
If I've missed the email fair enough, but I don't think I have. Has anyone else had this experience? Is there a regulator I can take this to?

Not had any email about my tv price going up yet my bill for first of May shows a £4 increase, Ofcom guidelines clearly state 30 days notice must be given of any price increase be it tv or broadband.

You have to go via Sky's complaints prosedure first before you are able to take it to an alterntaive resolotion Adjudication Scheme (CISAS), an independent alternative dispute resolution scheme who will review your complaint. If it decides that your complaint is justified, Sky will act on any decision made and put things right for you.

I see on here that people are upset that their Sky bills have gone up by over 10%.
Mine has shot up by 75%!
Last year I was paying £26.00 per month for a Sky Q 'Entertainment Package' with HD that I signed up for in 2019. My last Sky bill on 23rd April was £45.50 which, as I say, is a 75% increase.
I haven't asked for any enhancement of my package at all, so I am a bit disgusted with such a steep increase.
I contacted Billing today, and they spoke a load of gibberish about offers that I didn't understand, and in any case I want to change absolutely nothing at all. And the best they could come up with was a monthly bill of £40.00, which is still 53% up on what I was paying last year.

That sounds like the discount you had has now ended so that along with the April rise will have seen your price rise by that amount. Time to call Sky to see if they will offer you another discount if you agree to a new 18 month contract.

If your not happy with the offer you been given.Just phone again and talk to retentions. They can give you the best deal.

Just got the email for a start of July price rise for Signature & Ultrafast BB and they state that I can leave the BB but doesn't mention the TV part so I'm guessing that's not included without ETC's.

Correct, the 31 day free exit only applied to Broadband contracts and doesn't apply to TV contracts.

Wow,surely this amount of long standing and loyal customers, cant be wrong?!
Although having said that as others have said,Sky's current"business model"suggests that looking after their bread and butter, doesnt even cross their mind.Instead they choose to encourage and ultimately trap newbies to their cause, instead giving them the good offers and affordable costings, which WE should be getting offered instead.
It baffles and disgusts me,in equal measure.
Even the Sky engineers that called on us a few weeks ago had to hold their hands up,when my mum asked them"what in the hell is going on within Sky's ivory tower,at the moment?"

Wrong about what exactly? This by the way has always been the Sky business model (as it is with most other companies).

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out morean interesting read - it's puzzling how they can ever get a return especially as it seems people are jumping instead as they're not getting the discounts they used to.
I'll jump later this year if the discount isn't enough...
