I had a Sky account for TV and Broadband some years ago, then went acress to Freeview and ended my contracts with Sky. I can still log into my old Sky account which obvioulsy shows as closed. Even if I start from scratch not logged in when I goe to complete the new order and I use my old email address, it then states there is a technical error and asks me to start from the beginning over and over. I am assuming it is becasue I am using an email address previoulsy known as if I use a different one it progresses through to checkout & completion, however I do not wnat to use a different email address for my order. I am happy to open a new account with Sky but want to use the same email address as before. How do I get this resolved as I would like to start a new order with Sky.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs you left Sky and then returned after being away for a year then your account will have been closed as you have discovered so you will need to set up a new Sky ID to use.
If you want to use the same email address then you need to first remove it from the old account first so log into the old account here:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details
Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:

Report it to Sky. This could be part of the problem that's been going on for nearly 2 years where the Sky system incorrectly generates new account numbers. Sky are looking for examples of this as it's currently impacting over 1,000 customers (and growing).

What kind of answer it was, there is no proper thing inside the link. after trying that link I or any user is coming to check the answer and you are again diverting the topic. So useless help.
