Received call from mobile number claiming to be from Sky promotions and offering a 30%discount on my Sky bill.
The caller wanted to know what my payment was to verify I was the account holder ???
He when asked would not say who he thought he was talking to and claiming not to be aware of my account details. He rang off when I would not give other than phone bill.

I've just received a call from an 0203 offering me a discount. They took my name and address and I came across this message while on the phone with them. They started acting like they couldn't hear me and I dropped and blocked them. They were 2 ladies with Indian accent and they try to keep you on the phone for too long. They were even offering Samsung watch.
I got suspicious when I saw it was a Vodafone line.
Hopefully sky will block anyone trying to gain access into my account.

A Vodafone line?

If you've given the scammers your details to log on then Sky cannot do much about it. You can change your password if so...
The scam involves ordering expensive hardware from your account and then getting you to return it to them rather than Sky. They get the phone and you pay for it...

They only have my name and address. They don't have my login details. I caught on once they started asking me for my secret question.

Hi, got a call from Fonehouse claiming my number has been selected in partnership with Sky mobile. Was offered the iPhone 15 Pro at £35/month and was told this would be my new monthly payment with existing Sky mobile as my provider. This means that my monthly has dropped from £90 to £35, sounds very suspicious..any thoughts? Was told that my existing debit order with Sky has been cancelled and replaced with the new one, doesn't make sense but was informed that it's in promotion with Sky to lower monthly payments...sounds bizarre

My first thought would be to contact Sky direct and to also check your online account rather than come on here to be honest. If it sounds too good to be true then there's usually a very obvious reason for that.

Got the same call yesterday supposedly from sky offering the world!!! Came up on my mobile as SCAME CALL (reported previous call) I asked the caller where he was from and that his number came up as SCAME and he rang off.

Yep had similar calls.... i usually just hang up but thought id play along this time. They asked me for my memorable date in full. I said sky would NEVER ask me for that. I promptly challenged if they were from sly to which they sent me an email asking me to change the password. Its very convincing but i ended the call and blocked the number

I had a scam call offering 40% discount, hamper and smart watch. I knew exactly what was going on, challenged them on when I joined Sky, they kept changing the subject then hung up. I have the number if required

Just to add to all the other posts about fake calls claiming to be from Sky Mobile . I have now had about 8 such calls , all from people , with Indian accents . Although I've blocked each number after the call they still manage to get through on a different number . I wish Sky would make some kind of announcement about this .

They have, three years ago although not aimed specifically for mobile customers

I've just had this phone call and having just been woken up was a bit slow on the uptake. I confirmed my name and address and gave them an email address that's not connected to my sky account, plus that's actually in hubby's name anyway, but I'm really annoyed because normally I'm on the ball with stuff like this.
(removed)
, keep an eye out because it hasn't been logged as a scam number. Just on the safe side Ive changed all my passwords
Moderator note: Removed phone number

Just had a similar call offering a 40% reduction of my bill. Lots of laughter in the background which immediately put me on guard.
Asked similar questions- told them they needed to email me as the line was bad. Asked for my email and told them to use the one on file and hung up.
