Payment date

Hi, I get paid on the 16th every month and my payments usually get taken on the 16th of every month. I am switching jobs and will now get paid on the 27th of every month, will my next payment date be on the 16th Feb or the 27th Feb? And will it be higher than usual?

Your next payment will be on 16th Feb unless you've requested to change payment date as Sky don't know when you get paid.

If you  are able to successfully change your payment date then the next bill would be bigger as the payment period is longer.

However it depends if you have already change the date. Bills are generated 2 weeks before the day payment date so you may be too late for the change to take affect in Feb and it may not apply until the following bill.

 

If you pay by direct debit you get a 10 day grace period if payment can't be taken due to insufficient funds and a retry of the payment would happen 10 days later. This isn't the case if you pay by continuous credit/debit card payment as on first failure Sky would alert you and give you a couple of days to manually pay the outstanding bill.

Switching jobs doesn't chaneg your payment date so it will still be the 16th unless you have changed the date  and if so it could be more than usual so have a look to see what it show here via your online account:

So as it is less than two weeks till the 16th, will they take a payment then? And then will it be higher on the 27th?

As we said above, unless you have changed the date it will be taken on the 16th so have you changed the payment date ?

If you haven't already changed the payment date then the normal date of 16th Feb would apply. If you subsequently change the date your following payment date would be the 27th of March and would be higher as it would cover a 6 week period.

This month payment will be taken on the 16th and next month on your new billing date so will be more than usual as you should be able to see.
