Paid bill manually and bill gone out again

Hi. Had an email from sky stating that my bill was overdue and would get restricted if I didn't pay, so I paid it, meanwhile they put the same payment through again so 2 payments have now gone out and I'm £266 in credit, wouldn't be so bad, but I really need this money back now obviously with cost of everything today. I usually just message sky chat but I thought if I try here first someone maybe able to make a suggestion? Thanks for reading and any answers in advance

For direct debit payments if there are insufficient funds in your account on the normal payment date Sky will try again 10 days later. The same does NOT apply to card payments. Incidentally £266 is incredibly high if that's your monthly payment. 

Once your extra payment is showing as a credit, we can perhaps get you some help in getting it refunded (within the standard 3-5 working days) through the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that.

Hi Danielle

 

thanks for your reply, it was for 2 months for Tv/broadband/talk. 

I've spoke to them via chat this morning and sorted it out, it's been processed and is on its way back to my bank. 

I won't make that mistake again I'll leave it to go through by direct debit.
