this is my original email welcoming me to sky.
Yet I have paid on average 132 pounds per month. When I have called I am consistently upsold without my permission, with no resolution. I explained to Dave the sales man who orginally sold me my package, that i was a single parent household fleeing domestic violence and that I didnt think sky was suited to me as I felt that they would just increase the prices as time went on. He assured me this wouldnt happen...this wasthe first of many lies.
I have never had a resolution to this and when I missed the 18 month contract my bill went up to 194 pounds per month.....they said it would be 200 pounds just to leave. i have been struggling to feed my daughter because sky missold me a product and has never corrected it. Theyre agents just hang up the phone and dismiss my query

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Mel101 your subscription costs don't add up to anything like £132, let alone £194 so I'm struggling to see how you arrive at those figures.
I don't know what you mean by 'missed the 18 minute contract .
We'll need details to be able to advise you.

Your bill details will show you why. You could compare it with this month's bill to see where the differences are. Have your discounts expired? Are you being charged for more than a month?

I signed up with sky in 2022 underthesky, netflix and broadband. I told theadvisor I was a single parent household and that I could not deal with hidden extra charges. He assured me this wouldbe the rice going forward and that the first three months were free. I wascharged for the first three months and the sky tv does not include any channels other then pretty much the standard freeveiw. I had to pay extra for the childrens channels and so added disney plus which should have come to just over forty pounds a month. Instead I wascharged over sixty. I called to explain this and was told I had been added certain things as compensation. This wasn't actually true I was then being charged for what had been explained as compensation. My bills averaged out at 80 pounds per month.
This was double the amountorginally agreed. Sky send a message a day if not more and thus I have come to learn to just to ignore them. When my contract over ran you tried to charge me 194 per month. After calling and speaking to an advisor I said I wanted to leave and was told that I would be charged £200, which I could not afford. Sky then reduced the bill to £104 pounds per month which is now almost three times the amount orginally agreed. Sky is a relentless monster, it is just money grabbing at every corner and does not offer vallue for money or forthright honesty with what is included in its packages. Its staff are so motivated by money and up selling they do not listen to customer needs or have the ability to make changes that really suit them. It has been a horrendous and expensive mistake joining.

When my contract rolled over i was told it would be £194 per month, i called to complain and the sales advisor reduced it to £104. Its still a long way of the orginally agreement, in fact almost three times the cost. My bill have been consistently around £132, so again its just sky trying to cover theyre **bleep**.

You're talking to other customers here, not Sky. No one who has taken the time out of their day to reply to your post is a Sky Employee.

When your minimum term 'contract' expires (which I think is what you're saying) you automatically pay the standard list price unless you call to agree a new discount period. That's what you agreed in your contract. the new discounts you agree with Sky may not be the same or close to those you had in your original agreement. That's neither unusual nor Sky being underhand.
If your bills have been higher than that, check the details to see what extra you're paying. Without access to your bills or your account details, we can't hazard a guess why that's the case. You'll need to speak to Sky to understand why.
