So, long story short, I left Sky a few years ago because I moved into a new home that can't get Sky.
Now this month, I have helped to buy a house for my mother, and tried to get an online deal for sky Broadband, but when get to last stage and get chance to sign in (still have an account with SKY), it states the new place to install but lists delivery to my OLD rented address that I no longer live at.
I have tried and failed to work a way to update my home adress online, and when I try and update my home adress via Sky Help line, they say they can't update my HOME address unless I buy a service from them, which is much higher than the online deals I have quoted and they confirm are real deals.
All I want is to update my home address location and get Sky installed at my mothers new home address. Is it really that hard? Please help..

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Anonymous If you left Sky and then returned after being away for a year then your account will have been closed as you have discovered so you will need to set up a new Sky ID.
If you want to use the same email address then you need to remove it from the old account first as this will then free it up allowing it to be used when setting your new ID up. You can do this by logging into the old account here:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details
Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:
