Negotiating a better deal - any point trying or is it a waste of time with Sky?

My monthly bill to Sky has slowly crept up to a point where I'm now doubting it is value for money. I've been with Sky for at least 10 years plus and to be fair, the service has been good, inc TV + Internet etc. Is there any point looking to negotiate a better deal without loss of service or is Sky's policy 'take it or leave it'? Any advice welcome before I start shopping around. Thanks!

@DazzG
If you’re no longer in a discounted minimum term, or its ending soon the best new discounts are still normally acquired by calling Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will require a 24 month minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, and recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are now harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.

Hi @DazzG   You (we) should always shop around first. I always go with the cheapest, the problem is that my Sky Q is so darn good it is difficult to find an acceptable replacement.
