My email address is registered to another sky id

I am new to sky , however my parents had sky in the past and still just the sky email , however it seems to default to my email address ( I probably set up sky for them originally) but now I have mg own account it seems to still default to their ID even if I try to change it , and any password changes seem to change my account despite having a hotmail email ! 

Any ideas  ?

When you log in to Sky are you using your Hotmail email address as user name

Yes I am , but for whatever reason my parents sky email address , seems to default to mine and then links them ?

So when you login with your Hotmail email address and password you see their account details, is this what you are saying is happening ?

Yes , exactly that .. 

So we try and change my parents password for their sky email and that causes my sky ID to change ? Very odd and confusing
