My bills have risen so much that I may have to cancel my subscription with you. I’m struggling !
I have bean a loyal member with Sky for many years and have never missed a payment. I called you a year ago to reduce my monthly bills and the package I took was for 18 months which I was assured would cost £87.50 + £6.00 for Netflix. For the past four months my bill has been the same....£120.90.
Before that, it was £130+ which is causing me financial hardship.
I am a retired carer for two disabled sons who are housebound. We live with no income other than my pension and their Disability Allowance which is meagre.
Can you tell me why when I have free calls, is my subscription so much more than I signed up for?
I do not have an iPhone, so can you contact me on my landline in the evenings please.

Re: My bills have risen so much that I may have to cancel my subscription with you. I’m struggling
This is a customer helps customer forum
so you are not talking to Sky so if you want to speak to them you will need to call them.
150 is the free number to use from a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk phone otherwise under "Need more help ?" link at the bottom of the page on this link is the number to call Sky on:
Try saying nothing when spoken to by the bot.
Calls to Sky on their 03 number will not cost you a penny if you call when your free minutes are active.

Sky won't / can't call you based on a post on here. You will need to instigate contact. You don't need an iPhone.
If your discounts have ended the best deals are normally acquired by calling Sky to try to negotiate a new deal or potentially amend your package which will now require a 24 month minimum term contract. Remember Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, and recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are much harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.
NOTE: I only provide help on the forum boards so Direct Messaging is switched off

Do you mean you pay monthly for a call package?

Yes, I took out a new subscription one year ago, but it has never been that much.....always twenty - thirty pound more.

I ask because there are no free calls with Sky. You either pay for every call you make, or pay monthly for a call package such as Sky Talk Anytime+ which has specific inclusive calls.
Edited to add for completeness - calls to 0800 numbers and Sky Customer Services are free with Sky Talk

Re: My bills have risen so much that I may have to cancel my subscription with you. I’m struggling
Hello again,
Thank you for the info. I remember taking the free call package as part of my deal. I'm a VIP customer who has been with Sky for over thirty five years.....I have the basic subscription. I don't get it.....I will call them later on 150 to get to the bottom of it.
I'll follow up with how I get on. I know that Sky is no longer owned by the Murdochs and we have a different owner, but even so, this should be explained.

You might be able to check here to save you from calling:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/bb-and-talk
Does it show here what calls package you are on ?
