Message from my cousin

I am writing to you on behalf of John Shannon after he received a letter in prison from ACI dated 22/4/2025. He obviously cannot do a thing about the debt so he forwarded the ACI letter to me. I have gone through his possessions in storage and have found the Sky Q box.

I am a little concerned that it has taken 7 months to instruct ACI but I assume you had written to him which is something he denies.

To get this situation back on track I would suggest you collect the Sky Q box from my property [removed]  and leave the outstanding debt of £23.34 on hold until he is in a position to clear it or better still clear the debt.

My email below sent in August 2024 recommended to you that if I failed to receive a response I would consider the matter closed.

Please call off ACI and collect the Sky Q

Subject: Mr John Shannon - Sky Q - account number unknown

Hello,

Note: If this is not the correct department I would expect the reader to forward to the appropriate department.

I am making contact with Sky Q at the request of Mr John Shannon.

He is conscious he may have left a debt behind in early 2023 for [removed], a one bedroom property he rented by himself for himself via Pearsons lettings in Hythe, Southampton.

He wants you to know that he is currently in HMP Oakwood. He started serving his sentence in spring 2023, prisoner number. It is anticipated that he will serve until 2026 however, the date of release is yet unknown.

He would like the business to consider writing off any debt as he has no means to repay what if anything is owed.

Back story.

Up until recently Mr Shannon was not of a frame of mind to sort out his financial woes after what has been a tough few years living with issues and coming to terms with his current situation. He is in a better place now and  has asked me to contact all those he may owe money to in an attempt to inform the businesses of his position so that they can consider taking commercial decisions to tidy up their own books so to speak.

I consider the information supplied in this email to fulfil my responsibility to John Shannon to inform Sky Q.

Please confirm receipt of this email however, I will assume receipt should I, a. receive no response from Sky, b. I do not receive a notice from my email provider stating ‘message failed’.

@Crispy1

In addition, Sky won't cancel any debt collection actions until the equipment has been sent back and processed.
