Massive price hikes and no loyalty deals

I'm out of contract , I have broadband and sky Q . It's going up to over £100 It was £44 ! Apparently I can't stream as my internet isn't fast enough . I watch hardly any TV so would be happy with just the basics and maybe netflix (but happy to do that separately). I called and the people I spoke to were less than helpful despite me being with sky for almost 10 years Seems that only new customers get good deals Id stay if it was £50 or less with netflix But now I'm looking at just usingy smart TV ,finding a new broadband provider and sacking off sky completely , any recommendations or help from you guys on here ? .

Hi @Blue_Eagle   The best deals are always by changing provider. It beats the loyalty tax.

When and if you leave you will probably be sent "come back to Sky" offers.

@Blue_Eagle

Better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join. You probably benefited from one back in the day.

If you choose to jump ship and go with another provider then in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position and be able to return to Sky as a new customer.

Note that if Openreach doesn't have infrastructure in your area that Sky can use to deliver higher speeds, by definition it won't be available for any other Openreach ISP either.
