How can I stop marketing mail for the previous home owner of my address . I am a sky customer

Thats your choice, however it won't stop the mail so it seems you'll be cutting off your nose to spite your face. And all because if the inactions of a previous customer.
PS threats to cancel in a Customer helps customer community won't acheive anything either.
