Left Sky and still got charged 3 weeks after leaving

I have left Sky broadband because they couldn't supply the promised minimum internet speed.
I have since switched to EE/BT and have had a good experience thus far.

3 weeks after leaving Sky - I got charged again as if I was still contracted wth them. I have contacted my bank, recalled the payment and cancelled the direct debit. My bank has let me know to contact my previous provider to ensure no failure of payment is reported (as there was nothing outstanding when I have left Sky).

What does Sky require from me to ensure this doesn't happen?

You'll have to speak to them. However I suspect the payment was collected in accordance with the terms and conditions you signed up to and consequently Sky may refuse to accept the recall and register a failed payment.

I think EE have sorted the switch over and it's been weeks. Now I have a bill with EE and another with Sky aswell ? When they were in breach of contract (by not providing the minimum guaranteed speed even after attempting to fix their network)?

I'll only add that it's quite common to initially be charged beyond your service termination date, depending on your billing, payment and notice dates. Many providers operate the same way. Sky then refund the overpayment from the date your service ends, of course.
