Leaving Sky after price rise
Hello
I re-signed with Sky on 4 February (this month). When doing so, the agent expressly said I could leave once price rises are announced as he wasn't able to quote them when we spoke and I re-signed. I now have notification of the rises and am not happy. The issue is, I've heard that you can leave TV, only broadband. However, the agent expressly said I could leave both as I asked the question. Was he right? If not, can I request the recording because he definitely said it? Thanks.

Re: Leaving Sky after price rise
The increase mail should identify your options.
As a post-OfCom change you should be able to leave both.
You can submit a SAR here if needed: https://www.sky.com/help/forms/customer-information-request

I believe the new ofcom ruling that if a price rise isn't explicitly included in pounds in a contract you can leave within 31 days of notice of the price rise only applies to broadband and doesn't apply to TV.

You may be right. OfCom says 'Phone, broadband and pay TV' but are Sky still in dispute over the definition of pay TV?

Yeah, i think that dispute is still going on which is why its currently exempt.

Re: Leaving Sky after price rise
Thanks, all. FYI, because I signed up to both TV and broadband together I can leave both...and I have. Shame as Sky Steam is a great tool, but too many channels I don't watch and they increase prices so.much for established customers. Thanks for your responses.
