I don't understand why this month I am paying £51 when it's only meant to be about £30 ish

Most likely a discount is ending, I would advise keeping an eye on your future bills here - Sky Bill | Sky.com

and if thats the case call Sky to renegotiate.

Passing on the tips I have learned in over 24 years as a more than satisfied Sky customer.

Are you a new Broadband customer? If not, unless you've made some chargeable calls on your Sky Talk landline, I agree with @TechmanagerMal and don't forget to factor in the annual price increase effective 1 April.
