Is it okay to reveal your password?

Assistance call asked for my password. Three different helpers. I am worried about revealing it,

Did you make the call to Sky or did someone phone you, if you made the call then it is the telephone password Sky will ask you for. If someone called you then I would be wary or even giving this password as it could be that the calls were not from Sky.

Hi @Minnie3   Just to be clear, it is the telephone password that Sky have on file for confirming your identity. Not your account password.

Tip: If someone calls you and asks for your telephone* password then give them the wrong one.  If they accept it then it's definitely NOT Sky.

 

* You would never, ever give anyone your account password used to logon to your account.  (The telephone password is word that you've previously agreed with Sky)

If this was an unexpected calls from 'Sky',  if the caller asks for your telephone password to confirm you're the account holder (which a genuine Sky agent should) initially give an INCORRECT one on purpose. If the caller doesn't challenge it then you know it'll likely be a scam call.
