Ever since I started my Sky mobile contract I've been able to speak to a contact in the United States using the WhatsApp app and have never been charged before however this month I have been charged £150 for TWO International calls ?! There is something wrong here obviously so wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue at all.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt's more likely you initiated a 'standard' call rather than a WhatsApp call:
Assuming the charges aren't roaming data charges?

Thanks, and I do understand that however I've been using whatsapp to speak to a colleague in exactly the same way for years...so maybe it's a 'settings' change from whatsapp that's caused it to change right now. still, 2 phone calls = £150...appalling

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe trouble is Sky have no control over what you or your device does.
If the device did initiate international calls then they are simply charging the rate for that. Of course, call them on 150 for confirmation.
See if your device's call log has any record?
International calls can be several pounds per minute.
Consider setting a spend cap...
