I was told fibre broadband wasn't available in my area despite my already having it installed!
That can be a confusion over terminology: FTTC ('fibre broadband') is not the same thing as FTTP ('full fibre')
There's also a complication where an address is provisioned by Sky with 'Ultrafast 1' over G.fast, Sky customers get told that subsequently deployed FTTP infrastructure in the local area doesn't exist.

So, called again and now got ultrafast (fttp) and a better total packagage cost that previously offered.
Fortunately I've a network engineering background and know the difference between fttp and fttc.

Same happened to me today. They have no idea of customer service. Just recite back to you the contract even when you have agreed things with UK based agents. Something is just not right with SKY and its customer service. I am a Sky Diamond VIP customer but all that means very little or nothing when you are talking to the Indian Call Centre.

Likely because they are actually offering customer services for multiple products and companies at the same time.
