My in contract discounts come to an end in July, when is the best time to negotiate a new deal? Should I start a month before or wait until nearer the time? What are peoples expriences of negotiating new deals lately? Are there still deals to be had or do I need to start tlooking elsewhere?

Anecdotally, deals are getting harder to find - so have competitor prices to hand to assist your decision and to drive the negotiation.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreBased on the experience I have just had, deals and offers are becoming very limited. I have been offered discounts via email from July which have brought costs down, but still an increase on what I pay now. I've had four live chats, most recently today.
The absolute best I was offered was a further £4.00 a month, but this would have required me to drop to Netflix standard with ads, and a new 18 month contract.
For me it wasn't worth it to save £4 off the non contracted prices, and absolutely no budging on the £20 admin fee. Sign of the times.
To add, I've just received an email regarding the increases to broadband advising I can leave penalty free early if I should choose too.
