Hi, just posting on here because I cannot believe Sky's cheek.
i am in contract until with Sky until November 2024 but I messaged them to see if they could offer me a deal before then to save me a few quid (I know they do this to try and get you to recontract). However, the advisor offered me the same package (no extras) for a higher price! I currently pay £36 a month and she found me a "deal" for £40 and on top of that we're going to charge me £20 for the pleasure of costing me more monthly for the SAME package!!
This is really bad practice surely? Who would agree to this "deal"?
I cannot wait to cancel my contract in November. Sky are getting worse and worse

I know, I've done this quite a few times. I l've just never had them offer me the same package for higher price. The only time it's ever been higher is when I've added other things

Considering the ball is in my court and I'm at a point where I don't need to recontract and they should be wanting me to recontract for another 18 months, you'd think they'd at least knock a couple of pound off the bill.

No, because it seems the current level of discounts has reduced...

@PandJ2020 I wasn't even offered a discount 😂 I love how they thought I'd go, 'yes please do sign me up to pay more a more for the Same level of service' instead of just waiting out my contract an cancelling 😂

@Katiewoodelle as you still have 10 month of your 18 month contract left then I don't see any incentive for Sky to give you a cheaper deal than you already have as in reality if you took out another 18 month contract now you would technically only be extending you original contract by 8 months.
As @Daniel0210 say try again mid October to see if they will give you a better deal when your contract is close to ending

Admin charges are normal and usually added to discounted deals (new or on renewal), and it’s normally £10 per discount. Perhaps check your future bills and see if the charges have been credited back. If you negotiated the deal on the phone and these admin charge(s) weren’t mentioned contact Sky again. They should be able to listen back on your original call and if they weren’t mentioned they will hopefully cancel them.
