Idea: Be able to leave a message on your Sky Account

Add a option on where it says on the bill page: Make a Pament, Change payment method, Change payment date, like: `Leave Meassage on Sky account` so Sky sees it so if for some reason your going to pay the Sky account late so will not have the money in your Bank acount for some reason, you can message Sky instead of phoning them about it so you could say`Not gettiing payed this month untill 21st of the month because of a delay`
so Sky knows... 🙂 and no need to phone Sky about it
becuase the message is on the Sky account.

Just a idea... 🙂

I am Neurodivergent... 🙂

I am not a Sky Engineer but at one time wanted to be one or a BT Engineer... 🙂

I like working things out like its a puzzle... 🙂

I was a PC Engineer and fix peoples PCs by going to there house, Windows XP was known to slow down PCs over time and clog up the PCs RAM and its start-up and had to reinstall it for the customer, the only way you could fix WinXP.

Unfortunately the ability to put a note on your account wouldn't make a difference as the Sky policy is clear that if you have an overdue bill they will charge a late payment fee and restrict access if the bill remains overdue.

Their billing process is completely automated so a note on an account wouldn't be able to stop anything.

Indeed, message or no  message if a bill isn't paid then services can be restricted until it is.

Sky doesn't permit deferred payments specifically so that large numbers of staff aren't tied up in making arbitrary decisions about whose excuses are convincing enough: having them read everything from the inevitable few words to entire life stories (including, no doubt, medical histories and other deeply personal information) wouldn't exactly be a business efficiency improvement while simultaneously creating a very real GDPR headache.

Re: Idea: Be able to leave a message on your Sky Account

I came up with this idea because I have a hard time talking to people face to face and on the phone, and do not like talking to people in India because they talk to quick and I can't understand them properly because of there accent and the line is bad too where its sound is low(I am partly deaf, we need English Call Centres), it was better when you could talk to someone in Scotland, I could understand them better, It would be a lot easier if you would be able to send them a message to tell them I have a problem paying at the moment my Streaming TV.
Its not my fault, I am being migrated from ESA(I am Disabled) to Universal Credit at the moment so taking longer to get paid, UC is monthly not every 2 weeks like ESA is,(sick of them playing around with your money all the time)
And the Virtual Assistant is no help, it should know what I mean if I say in it`I want to talk to someone` but it just show info if you have a problem with your Sky Stream box.
And I lost my partner in November and she would talk for me too on the phone, Sky was in her name originality untill she died.

Re: Idea: Be able to leave a message on your Sky Account

Just noticed the message bubble on the bottom left of the Sky Comunity on here where you can talk to Sky I think, they should add that to the bill page, do not see why not. ??
If you click on it, it says:

`Sky UK
Responses are not immediate. Our UK experts are available Mon-Sun 8am-7pm. Ireland Mon-Fri 9am-4:30pm`

That what I meant but only can use that if your a memeber here and not everyone knows about this site and if your a new customer, why is there no link to this site on Sky.com it should be on it home page, it part of Sky...? found it it in the Sky help page at the bottom... 🙂
I came a cross Sky Community by searching for Sky com in Google years ago... 🙂
