IGNORED SENT EMAILS TO CANCELL PACKAGE SO I STOPPED PAYMENT. A NEXT DAY EMAIL SAYS I WILL HAVE TO

Hi All, I had a call from sky and decided to except new broadband  update with telephone landline. I was told I would have a cooling off period. They have failed to answer my emails despite promises to get in touch. They have failed to install telephone  connection, have deducted 133 pounds from my bank without any explaination of any aggreements and costs. I stopped payment to get their attention. Within 2days they sent an email saying that I wiil need to pay $10 for any late payment and threat to discontinue service.

Hi @KeithA80   Sky don't use email as a means of communication. Do you mean on-line form? Stopping payment will put you in breach of contract and as you have already discovered, implications and reperussions.

@KeithA80

Sky don't use email for general communication.

Cancelling the payment method is definitely not recommended. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you wont be able to cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky will involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating,
