I wish to retract a complaint

Hi,

I wish to retract a complaint I made yesterday.  Everything is resolved and I am happy with my new contract.

I have tried calling back in numerous times to do this.  The menu options dont make any sense for this.  Whenever I choose an option to get through to someone I have been given a call centre in India.  I tried with this this morning but the agent got completely the wrong end of the stick and tried to cancel my Sky entirely.  I DO NOT want that I am happy with it.  I just want to cancel the complaint.  I just want to speak to someone in the UK   What is the best way to acheive my goal? I would like my complaint cancelled before they start looking at it, I dont want to cause any hassle.

Re: I wish to retract a complaint

I'd suggest waiting for someone from Sky (or someone working on their behalf) contacts you regarding your complaint and then use that conversation to clarifiy your current situation.

If you'd had emails indicating that your package or contract is changing in a way that you don't want, by all means contact Sky and tell them.

Re: I wish to retract a complaint

Hi Pete,

Thanks for the reply.  I could definitely do what you suggest but that is what I would like to avoid - taking up someones time to look at it.  I would just like to retract it completely before they start on it.  I would like to speak to someone in the UK and frankly this Indian call centre garbage is driving me mad this morning and giving me a negative view on Sky.  I tried with them but they just wanted to cancel my Sky :(.  I am very frustrated and upset I cant get what I want done.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@suitedpower  Your call will be routed to the 1st available agent regalrdless of location, you can't choose where your call goes.  There is not reason why you can't speak to any agent regardless of location.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Re: I wish to retract a complaint

The customer support team probably won't have access to the complaints team so most likely can't do anything and most probably don't have a process in their scripts that allow them to redirect your enquiry to the correct team.

I really wouldn't worry about taking up someone's time - if it's likely to be very time-consuming, they'd probably contact you to discuss the situation and understand details before putting in too much work.

Re: I wish to retract a complaint

Hi thanks both,

gd1 yes I get thats how it works.  I have tried with the indian call centre.  I explained carefully, the person on the phone asked me to explain again so I did  -  the agent then asked me to confirm I wish to cancel my sky services.  I'm sorry but that is a language barrier that shouldnt be there and it is bad customer service.  They were polite but didnt understand.  I should be able to speak to someone who understands my question without meeting a language barrier.  Not understanding  what I am saying when dealing with my account is a valid reason for wanting to speak to someone in my location instead.

Peterg41 yes I guess I will just have to do that.  That does mean I cant do what I wanted to do though and was pointless me even trying.

Re: I wish to retract a complaint

You know what it's enough to make me stop moving my broadband to sky.  I get my TV from sky currently but broadband elsewhere and sky/other places are cheaper.  I was gonna move broadband to sky and consolidate but I cba with call centres not in the UK.  I'll just move it somewhere else.  I literally call in to sky on average about once every three years and it's not too much to ask that there should be no language barrier.
