I am being approached by new providers in the area and I always decline but the offers are extremely competitive and before I make any moves to switch, I want one final attempt to see what I am able to achieve with my long term account with sky. Paying £141 is just too high per month.

If your discounts have ended or are ending soon the best new discounts are normally acquired by calling Sky and negotiating or potentially amending your package which will now require a 24 month minimum term contract. Remember Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, and recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are now harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.
If you go with another provider you'll get their new customer offers but be aware that in 18 or 24 months you'll find yourself in the same position again.

That suggests a multi-product bundle, so it's worth remembering that while there are many competing ISPs around, the choice of subscription television is much more limited. The vast majority of ISPs are not television providers: essentially there's only Sky, Virgin (where available) and EE.
