I want to cancel sky cinema trial (or at least talk to someone!)

I upgraded my sky broadband and the engineer set me up with a free trial with sky cinema and paramount+, which he said I could easily cancel.  As it turns out, there is no way (that I can find) to cancel this on the website.  It isn't possible to do it through the chat robot and apparently all of their staff have been sent for training so there is nobody answering the phones (I just get an automated message to that effect and then get cut off).

Any suggestions as this seems to be a massive scam?

Thanks

To remove part of your TV package you need to contact Sky giving the standard 31 days notice. If you have 'in contract' discounts you may not be able to remove them. Also make sure cancellation of a certain add-on doesn’t cancel another part of a discount.

You may be able to remove it via this link which includes a message option (should be available between 9am & 7.30pm) or by calling in using the number that will appear.

You might be able to do this online here:
https://www.sky.com/mysky/tv/tv-packs

If not then you will  need to contact Sky and give them 31 days notice to cancel it, so you can either call or use the messaging service to do this.

Select "No, I still need help" at the bottom of the page on the above link.

Thanks for your response!

I had been given the impression that as the Sky Cinema was just a free trial, I could just cancel at any time.  If that's not true then it's even more annoying that I can't get hold of them now.  I'd already tried the link you sent which merely says that you have to use the messaging service, which is showing as unavailable, or the phone number, which cuts off because all the staff are allegedly doing training.

It was a free trial, for the period stated, then you are charged.

The training rarely lasts more than an hour or so.

It's not possible to cancel the trial through the first link and the second one says that you have to use the messaging service, which is showing as unavailable, or the phone number, which cuts off because all the staff are allegedly doing training. There is also an email form I can submit, but there is only an option to cancel my entire package, which I don't want to do.

Re: I want to cancel sky cinema trial (or at least talk to someone!)

Thanks  Daniel - yes I understand that it was a free trial and that I'll be charged if I don't cancel it, which is why I'm keen to do so!!

Seems odd that they would send the entire workforce out for training at the same time (and not put anything to that effect on the website), but helpful to know it might only be an hour.  I'll try a bit later.  Thanks again for the reposnse 🙂

As SuperUsers we get no advanced warning of these training sessions but suffice to say the lines are normally busier than usual immediately after the lines reopen.
