I want to cancel my broadband contract

I want to cancel my broadband contract as its too expensive compared to alternative providers.  I have tried calling the 0333 number, but I only get so far (reason for cancelation) and I get an automated message saying "they are having technical difficulties and try calling back at another time".

Is this a current real problem or a way of putting me off?

@Capbrown
To cancel Sky Broadband and Sky Talk the below link explains how to switch to an alternative provider or the various methods on cancelling completely.

If you try to cancel whilst still in a minimum term deal you might have to pay an early termination charge (Sky will notify you if you do and how much they’ll charge).

NOTE: One Touch Switching only applies to broadband and Talk and not a TV subscription.

Return packaging for any equipment Sky expect back will be sent out to you near the end of the 14 day notice period. Remember to keep any proof of posting indefinitely.
