I recently had SKY 4 £40pm. They have overcharged me & I am paying for Movie channel I didnt order!

How do I get SKY to stop charging me for The movie channel I didn't order. I did contact them, they said they would cancel it and I am now paying £70 per month. Surely they have broken their contract with me and therefore I can cancel my account with them without incurring penalties?

At some point you must have agreed to subscribing to Sky Cinema. Perhaps it's connected with a a discount on another add on? 

Any cancellation Sky said you'd get would have involved a 31 day notice period.

When did you call Sky as 31 days notice is required to cancel the movies package.

I did not agree to have cinema. I contacted the BOT service who put me onto someone to discuss the situation.  The assistant agreed that I did not order it, she said she would cancel and reimburse, that was in April, she still has not cancelled or reimbursed monies paid for the service I did not order. bSince then I have been in hospital and been too unwell to deal with the situation. Any suggestions other than a legal action?

Do you see any credit on your account as it is this that can be refunded. If you don't then I would register a complaint telling them about the fact you didn't order it and that you spoke to someone in April about this, you can do this here:

Have your payments (not bills) since April been for the amount you were expecting? If the refund was applied as a credit on your Sky account this credit should be used first meaning payments on your direct debit / continuous card payment would be less until that credit was used up.

As I knew I was not going to be at home, I have not checked my payments nor checked if they have taken cinema off my account. I have it in writing that this would be taken off in April, clearly, they have not done this, I trusted them to their word, they have been less than professional. I think to get this matter resolved properly, immediately, perhaps I should employ legal means as they have not honoured the arrangement.

That sounds like a sledgehammer to crack a nut. I'd contact Sky again, either by registering a complaint as previously suggested, or by just calling customer services.
