I rang yesterday to cancel my sky tv and did it through an automated service. No con

I rang sky yesterday to cancel my tv package.  I did it all through an automated system. I didn't receive any confirmation email.  I rang again today and spoke to a human and they said that hadn't gone through so cancelled it again but I still haven't had a confirmation email.  I was giving the 31 days before the package price was going to go up as you have to give 31 days notice.  Bit concerned still nothing in writing from them

I would leave it for another day and if nothing shows on your account regarding your pending cancellation then I'm afraid you will have to check this again by calling them if there are no emails in your junk/bin/trash folder about this.

There is no automated system for cancelling as Sky have to speak to the account holder to confirm cancellation - which is why no email was received.  (Although others have reported being under the impression too that it was cancelled this way).

 

In my experience a cancellation mail arrives almost immediately once notice is correct applied to your account.  As noted, I'd call back tomorrow if not received.
