I'm moving House in early to mid December..

And the place I'm moving to has an existing FTTP connection at 1 Gig per second speeds, therefore could I cancel my existing Broadband contract and take my TV package with me? Obviously if so I'd need to give 30 days notice soon as it's the beginning of November on Monday.

Can anyone help? I am aware of Google but can't ring Sky myself as I don't know the password to my account as it is in my Brother's name and he's currently on Holiday in Wales.

@MrRichAllen1976  There are no Satellite Broadband providers that provide those speeds.  It's likely to be a fixed line provider.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Only the account holder can effect such changes.  He'll have to contact them when he returns.

But you open your post with 'my' contract?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@MrRichAllen1976  As the account is not in your name you simply won't be able to make any changes.

If your moving you just need to complete a Home move online with at least a 10 working days lead time, it may be best to call Sky if you want to upgrade your BB speed at the same time.

@GD1 Your equals you're.

Also, if you READ the OP, there is a 1 Gig Satellite Broadband connection already on the premises so I wouldn't need an upgrade, except possibly to get Sky Cinema back on my TV account.

@MrRichAllen1976 As you're obviously keen on accuracy ( correcting @GD1 's grammar!) perhaps I can ask you to clarify.

Your first post mentions FTTP, your subsequent post refers to satellite broadband. Which is it?

@MrRichAllen1976 unless the 1Gb/s connection at your new address is in some way included in the rent or service payment then you will need to pay to use that connection. Sky can arrange a service if the connection is using either the Openreach or City Fibre networks otherwise you will need to buy from whoever supplies the connection and cancel the existing service.

The account hokder will have to tell Sky about the move of the TV service and either to move or cancel the broadband. Sky will only talk to you if your brother has authorised them to do so.

@Sharcuk I think it's Satellite but I'm not certain, I'll ask some questions.
