I have to stay non digital broadband for careline.
I am out of contract with sky but cannot go digital on my broadband as my careline does not support digital, i have spoken to sky today and they want to charge me so much money to keep my old broadband line, I don't use the internet, it is purely for careline so why is there no discount for a disabled pensioner? I can't afford £80 a month for a basic broadband and basic tv package.

Re: I have to stay non digital broadband for careline.
Your careline should have a new system for the change to digital, it was originally scheduled for Dec 2025 but has been delayed to Jan 2027, however almost every ISP is now moving to digital anyway. This problem is not on Sky, its on your careline, you need to contact them.

Re: I have to stay non digital broadband for careline.
I had contacted them, they are not going digital and do not have a date for going digital even in discussions.
Therefore, i have to pay a very large amount as i am penalised for being disabled and needing a careline.

Hi,
No you are the first who has mentioned this, when i have tried explaining no one helps, I am just told that is down to my careline, I already pay them, I shouldn't be penalised and have to pay higher rate to sky on top too?
thank you i shall try that and see.

If that's the case they must be ending their service as they will no longer be able to operate from January 2027.

As @xenon81 indicates, that's an entirely unsustainable business decision.
PSTN switch-off (postponed from December 2025) is now scheduled for two years time from now, and really does need to happen.
