Hi @Mary19511   "A Sky box" could be anything, what exactly is it? Either way, as fellow customers we cannot do anything. If you want to return it, you should contact Sky. Please see Welcome below for information about this public community.

@Mary19511

Do you mean you already have a Sky Broadband hub (router) and that Sky have sent you a second one ?

Just to be clear Mary, are you perhaps still using the BT router (they'll probably want that back or they may charge you).

Either way, don't lose the Sky box if it's not sent back, as if you leave Sky in the future the same will apply.

If you have changed to Sky from BT , Sky have sent you a hub that will work with the Sky service I don't think there will be any change  for it while you have there service it on loan to you,. If you say already have one  if you mean the the hub BT supplied you when you had there service you will not be able to use for your service from Sky for two reasons. The first one and most important one it will not not work with the Sky service it locked to BT and will not work when your Sky service starts . Just likes the Sky hub will only work with Sky broadband. The other reason you will not be able to use the bt with Sky is because like Sky  the bt hub is only loaned to you while they provide service to you , when your service finishes with bt they willl want it returned to them other wise they will charge you for it.

@Mary19511 Sky routers, if that's what you're referring to, are provided free of charge.

Actually on FTTP circuits ISP routers are increasingly interchangeable, and are quite likely to be able to deliver broadband.  What they won't work for is a bundled voice call service, ISP diagnostics or app administration.
