I had a free trial of netflix and I want to cancel at the end of it
I took up a free trial of netflix when I signed up to a new sky contract. I don't want to keep it at the end of the free trial.
I can't find a way to cancel it, how hard can it be? Do I have to ring the dreaded call centre?

Yes, and ensure you cancel 31 days before the end of the trial.

You might have to call to cancel @Squints but it might also be worth checking to see if you can do this yourself.
For Sky Stream puck or Sky Q - Press Home on your Sky remote, then select My Sky at the bottom of the screen.
You’ll then see a screen with your purchases. Select Your products. You’ll then be asked to enter your Sky TV PIN number.
Then follow the prompts to cancel.
In the Mysky app on a phone or tablet.
Go to the TV section, then My Bill section, there will be a section listed Marketplace, under that click on View subscriptions.
You should be able to cancel it there.

Thanks for replies.
@caesaromeI attempted to cancel Netflix via the sky Q and via the app but there was no option either way.
I rang sky and was able to complete cancellation through the robot without having to speak to an actual person at the call centre, so that's a win.
@PandJ2020 Unfortunately I will still have to pay a bit as I was not outside 31 days.
I've had numerous free trials before but not via Sky. Each time I was able to cancel immediately so never reaching the stage of paying so it's clearly possible but Sky don't want you to do it.
This had slipped my mind because when I renegotiated my contract I had a dreadful experience where they gave me incorrect information and then charged me more than agreed. I received an apology and the price was reduced after they listened back to the call. Hence my reluctance to ring!

Of course, the idea of 'free trials' is that you continue... (But the notice period catches many out)

Same here & I cancelled by calling Sky. Either 150 from a Sky phone or via the Contact Us link at the end of every page.
I don’t work for Sky.

I need to do this too. I dont suppose you remember which options you choose to do the cancellation with the robot rather than having to call ?

When calling try saying nothing if asked any questions by the bot.

When I said robot I meant the automated answer when you phone. I rang sky and just said "cancel netflix". It then took me through a few press button 1 etc and was all completed without speaking to a person.

@caesaromeIf I wanted to speak to an agent that would usually be my approach, either that or just say "agent". However I was able to do the whole thing through pushing buttons. Which begs the question why not make it possible to do on the app.
