I cannot for the life of me CANCEL MY SKY TV subscription!

I am so angry. I have tried to call the number so many times to cancel my Sky Ultimate TV and Entertainment package. I took the free trial to stream, used it for a month, didnt use it enough to warrant the cost, so want to cancel before i am billed...

Yet cancelling is impossible....HELP!

What problem are you having when you call?

I get as far as the lsat 4 digits of my card number...and then complete silence. I also cannot even log in to my account on the "mysky" website. Such a farce of a company.

Never heard that prompt myself. It sounds like Sky are having difficulty verifying your identity. I'd suggest not answering any of the questions the call answering bot asks. Just remain silent and don't hang up. You should eventually be asked if you want to speak to an adviser.

Or see here for alternative ways to cancel (though calling is the mist efficient): https://www.sky.com/help/home/your-account/my-account-and-subscription/cancelling/cancel-my-subscrip...

You can't cancel if you're 'in contract'.

Re: I cannot for the life of me CANCEL MY SKY TV subscription!

thanks - i am not in contract, stayed silent and had the line hang up on me multiple times.

However...I have found a number hidden at the bottom of my actual contract with a number that DID work...which the message board wont even let me post haha.

This number should be available on the website

The forum doesn't allow posting of phone numbers.  (Because customers may accidentally post theirs or Sky change theirs)

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

As you identified yourself, the forum doesn't allow phone numbers to be posted, so why on earth you thought disguising the number to evade autimatic forum filters would work is a mystery to me.....haha!

Mark...your answer was completely useless and unhelpful, and I wanted to share the number that actually helped people escape the choke hold the company have you in

@AngryCustomer13
From a Sky Talk landline or a Sky mobile dial 150 to call Sky (free).

Alternatively you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK customers: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and a 0333 number is displayed.
ROI customers: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a dedicated 0818 ROI number.
(The forum doesn’t allow us to type the numbers in full).

Similar to calling other large companies the start will be automated which may also try to send you here to the forum. Stay on the line as long as possible and don’t hang up. If necessary say nothing when the automated system asks you what your call is about as it should then route your call into a queue for the next available agent.

Note: if your services are restricted due to a missed payment/s any calls will only prompt you to pay what you owe.

The only solution is look at your contract wording, ctrl F 'cancel' and there is a number there

@AngryCustomer13

What is wrong with the link in my post above? It provides numbers for both UK and ROI based customers.

You may want to, clearly Sky doesn't. Take it up with the Community Management team.
