I cancelled and got offered a new deal

My current deal for TV (Sky Q with multiroom) runs until the 31st July. On the 1st as I could not get a good renewal deal as an existing customer I cancelled my TV services. My current TV bill had jumped from  £79 to £140. I got through to retentions who offered to discount the price to £118. I refused and cancelled. Within 12 days I had 3 offers the latest deal being £69.50 for the same deal that I had. I phoned SKY and was again put through to retensions who were unable to honour the deal to an internal issue and could I try later. I tried several hours later via chat and still no luck. Why do Sky even bother offering deals if they cannot find the staff to honour them. I find them most frustrating to say the least.

Re: I cancelled and got offered a new deal

Further to this today I was contacted by a Sky advisor from the retension team who stated they could not honour that offer as it should not have been sent to me. Had I lived alone I would have cancelled but my wife is bedbound and relies on the TV. I eventually recontracted for £79 for SKY Q, multiroom and sports plus HD/UHD. I have however lodged a complaint about the total confusion and lack of knowledge that SKY advisors seem to have. Why send an offer if your not going to honour it.
