Hi
I am moving from my home to a retirement home on a 6 October. I currently have Sky with a satellite, two Sky boxes for two TVs, and a Sky package:
Content Packs = Sky Signature and Sky Sports.
Home Set-up = Sky Sports HD, Multi-screen
The retirement home suggests that I change my package to Sky Stream, as WiFi will be available in my room.
Is there something to be physically installed to have Sky Stream on the TV in my room at the retirement home?
Does a Sky engineer need to come to install it and configure it (as I am not technically competent and I am not very mobile)?
It is not clear to me how to inform Sky that I am moving on 6 October and and to inform Sky that I want to change my package/contract on 6 October to Sky Stream.
It is also not clear if Sky will want to take the satellite dish and the two Sky boxes from my home on 6 October.
Many thanks in advance for your help
Anne

There is an online link to start a home move here;
https://www.sky.com/moving-home
Or you can call Sky and request a home move and a move to Sky Stream from that date.
Sky Stream is self install, no engineer will be available. Check the link below.
https://www.sky.com/help/sky-tv/sky-tv-stream/setting-up-sky-stream/articles/setting-up-sky-stream
As part of moving to Sky Stream, Sky will request ( in about 90 days from activating your Sky Stream) , you return your loaned Sky Q box, remote and power lead. They will send out a pre paid box, that they will send to you. Or if your prefer, you can send back, when Sky ask you to in packaging of your choice and print down the return labels and take to the post office. Remeber, to keep your proof of posting in both cases.
So make sure you take the Sky Q box, remote and power lead to your new house.
You do not need to do anything with the dish, just leave it where it is, it is owned by you and the next house owner can do with it what they like.

Re: I am moving and I want to change my contract on the same date.
Please make sure that your retirement home has fast and stable enough broadband in order to support a Sky Stream connection. The Sky Stream service relies entirely on having this, otherwise it will not work.
Sky recommends a minimum speed of 25Mbps to watch in HD and 30Mbps to watch in UHD.
The customer is responsible for providing the broadband connection when taking out a Sky Stream subscription. There is no engineer support.
If your new home does have sufficient broadband then it is normally quite straightforward to just plug in the Sky Stream box, connect it to your TV via HDMI and follow the on-screen instructions to connect to WiFi. Perhaps someone will be able to help with this.

Re: I am moving and I want to change my contract on the same date.
Hi Lettice
Many thanks for your responses.
I have now informed Sky of my move.
However, I do not see how and where to change my Sky “Home Set-up” to Sky Stream, as I will no longer need the Sky boxes.
I click on “Get Sky Stream”
then taken to the page “Extraordinary TV every day”:
https://www.sky.com/glass/buy/stream/base-pack?irct=web-tv_stream-hero-gbr-stream-all-acq
I click on “Flexible 31-day rolling”.
I scroll down and click on “Sky Stream Find out more”.
Then a pop up window appears “Sky TV without the dish”.
I don’t see somewhere to confirm that I want to proceed with Sky Stream on my moving date and return the Sky boxes.
Thanks in advance
Anne
