Haggling at end of contract

My contract ends soon (I ve had emails).

I have Disney and Amazon prime separate to Sky already and no longer watch much other than Netflix + Paramount through Sky.

So when my current contract runs out I want to pay no more than £30 per month for sky Q with multiroom HD and Sky movies. This is because the main value to me is Netflix and Paramout they are about £21 if i got them outside of Sky.

The offers dont come close, £50 ish. What would you recomend, £30 is my genuine walk away point?

Its a shame after 13 years with Sky that I feel the value to me has dropped

@AdyPre

Personally I think you have next to no chance for getting Sky Q multiscreen, HD pack and movies at £30 so if you are not prepared to pay more than that you might want to think about cancelling something to get the price reduced.

Hi @AdyPre   Do you have a question for us fellow customers? Obviously only you can decide what is of value to you. No problem walking away if that is what you want to do as your minimum term has ended. Note you need to give Sky 31 days of cancellation.

@AdyPre

Highly unlikely given that the pre price increase undiscounted price of the base Sky Signature was £36.50, Sky Movies £13 and HD £9 without the add-ons you want.

A list price of £77.50pm (April).  Even in the good old days £30 would be truly exceptional.

£50-ish is likely to be the best you'll get.  Actually cancelling may extract slightly better but nowhere near  £30 imho.

@AdyPre If £30 is your genuine walk-away point, then you better get your shoes on. Expecting the packages you want for that price is entirely unrealistic.

I like a deal, but £30 probably isn't going to happen. I recently tried to renegotiate my broadband, and I have basically been told take the offer or don't, followed by.... would you like to cancel.

who should come knocking at the door last night, Virgin Media. So looks like I'm on the move, all over £20 admin fee.

sometimes you have to walk away.

@AdyPre if you do have access to Virgin, I was offered the TV entertainment pack, HD/UHD, multiroom with two extra boxes, Broadband and landline weekend calls for £44.50.

You could easily get Entertainment and Sky Movies with Boost (or even Ultra Boost for 4K, ad-free & 3 simultaneous devices) for less than £30pm via the NOW app. I know of some people who pay about £12pm for all of that. All the other free-to-air channels stream live via their own apps now too which is fine if you don't watch much 'regular' TV.
