I recently upgraded to Sky Q and received sky cinema free for 2 months. The engineer also told me I would be eligible for the free Vue cinema tickets. I've now found out that I only get sky cinema free for one month and I cannot access the free Vue tickets. Is this correct? I've tried ringing...

Find out moreThe free cinema tickets are an offer via Sky VIP and having checked the terms and conditions for you @Heather.+brindle you wouldn't qualify as it states the offer is not available to those that have a Sky Cinema trial like you do with this one month offer.

To be honest that makes sense, it was just the engineer mentioning it that made me think I'd qualify. Thank you for your answer 😊

If your trying to access them through the vip area of the my sky app and nothing happens.
Try deleting and reinstalling the app if you haven't already.
I had this problem and after doing the above it let me access them and I've only been with sky 3 weeks

I have the same issue. Supposedly a 3 month free trial. I said I don't really watch enough movies to take the package but they said I'd get a pair of cinema tickets every month so it was worth it for that alone. I've taken the trial and am into my second month and still no free tickets on the vip app and I've been with sky 14 years. I've since been told the free tickets are only available after you sign up to a 12 month contract which isn't what they said at the outset.

unfortunately it'snot uncommon for customer service agents to provide incorrect information regarding certain offers. (Mainly due to high staff turnover in this area and the number of products/packages/offers they need to be familiar with).

Thanks for relying so quickly @MarkGoldsmith
Very frustrating as I only took out the free trial to get the cinema tickets!

Personally i've got into the habit on checking online for T&Cs even ssut before or just after i commit to something. Particularly if purchased over the phone, as its quite easy for the agent to make things ups.
I guess on the plus side you haven't actually lost out as the trial of Sky Cinema hasn't cost you anything. If you don't want to continue it after the free trial, remember to give Sky the required 31 days notice, as you come to the end of the 2nd month to make sure you aren't charged even for a few days of it.
