Failure to honour Contract Offer

My Sky Signature contract has expired. I'm 76 years old, with a hearing impediment and since the closure of Eurosport only watch free to air channels. I have been in email correspondence with the Sky Executive Support Team who offered me Sky Essentials at £15 a month, with no contact and a 31 day cancellation clause. I immediately accepted this offer. However, my instructions have not been carried out as Sky have informed me that Sky Essentials is no longer available and the Sky employee was unaware of that when making the offer. I am unable to upgrade to Sky Q as it does not have a scart output. The sound on my TV is atrocious and my Sky box is plugged into my TV via a DVD player, where the audio is plugged into an amplifier, providing me with excellent hifi sound. The revised offer from Sky is for Sky Signature on a new 24 month contract, with a discount of £20.50 a month. I have declined this as I do not wish to commit to Sky beyond November 2026, when my existing broadband contract expires. I also do not wish to leave Sky and use my Sky+ box as a Freeview box, as I would no longer be able to pause live TV, download, or play back the many hours of recorded programmes on my planner. I  emailed Sky yesterday, informing them that the honest thing to do is to make an exception in my case and provide me with Sky Essentials on my Sky+ box at the quoted £15 a month, with no contract. Failure to do so will result in me forwarding copies of my emails to CISAS with a complaint against Sky. I am eagerly awaiting a reply to see if they will now back down and proceed. Would appreciate comments and advice about the legality of Sky failing to honour a written offer made by their employee and accepted by email.

@Mike-E

Before going to CISAS you need to have a deadlock letter from Sky and you would only get that if they have not resolved your complaint after 8 weeks.

Sky are also free to withdraw anything offered to you at anytime as Essentials is for Sky Q customers only so if you have a Sky+ box then you can not get this as you have discovered.
