Failed DD, so made a manual payment

Failed DD, so made a manual payment, it is is taken out my bank and not showing on my bill 5 days later, I still owe £50 but should be £0 till next bill. Spoke to customer service they can't see I've made the payment, was definitely taken out bank, shows on bank statement and was not returned, any ideas what I should do next as I am not paying again.

@Ccairnsy1985 You can only confirm that with sky account's let them know you transaction date fron your bank account, if they cannot see it, then you will need to pay again, DD is retried 10 day's after the first failure...

They need to find the payment as it's been paid, there must be someways they can track it down if it's somehow lost, the person I spoke to didn't have a clue what he was doing, and just told me to ring back tomorrow if it's not updated or returned to my bank.

@Ccairnsy1985  Is there a credit showing on next moths bill?

 

If a DD fails you should never make a manual payment as the system expects the funds to com from the DD, if it fails Sky will try again 10 days later.  

 

A Manual payment made when a DD payment is due always goes as a credit to the next month's bill.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.
