My husbands ex partner has taken out a sky contract and not paid they have been split up since 2006 and this was taken out 2017 she hasnt paid it were now receiving bayliffs letters for the amount she owes

The issue @Jac64 might have is proving it was taken our fraudulently especially if it was setup online.

I'd suggest your,husband contacts Sky and if they can't help, then getting professional advice for example from Citizens Advice, on how to deal with the bailiffs engagement.
