To answer your question, there is a chance that the bill will still be taken by the direct debit so as today is the 7th and is your usual billing date have you checked to see what your online bill here shows:

Does it show your manual payment perhaps as a credit and does it show that it has also been taken by the direct debit ?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt's too late to stop the direct debit being attempted on the normal due date. Your manual payment will be collected as a credit against your next bill, leaving this month's bill unpaid, if payment can't be taken on the usual date.
