Discounts applied but channels not removed

I have spoken to Sky today as my bill has gone up and up and I don't watch some of

my channels. The guy I spoke to has applied a discount to reduce my bill but said I can't remove sky cinema or ultimate tv with these discounts. I feel like I don't want to pay for packages I don't watch - does this sound right or have I been conned into signing up for packages for 2 more years because he gave me a discount?
