Default registered on my credit file.

I am also having a similar experience. Im currently applying for a mortgage. November 2023 a car crashed into the telephone pole directly outside of my house, causing the the telephone cables to be ripped from house. The telephone pole was not repaired until mid Feb 2024. We were without WIFI for this entire time, we were unable to use the any of our sky glass features whilst the WIFI was out. We were messed terribly with false promises of engineer visits, spend numerous hours on phone calls. It was agreed that we did not pay for the serivices whildt they were down, and that we would be due some sort of compensation once repaired. I wasnt aware the SKY GLASS television was covered in a seperate credit agreement. Subsequently SKY have registered a Default on my credit for non payment of the TV. This only came to light once I applied for the mortgage. I was told to speak to SKY and see if I settle the amount on the default would they then update the credit agencies and request the default be removed from my credit file. So, I phoned SKY and explained the situation. I was told on the telephone by the agent that once I settle 'debt' the default would be removed within 7 - 10 days. Even though I will be disputing the default I still paid it in full for the sake of my mortgage application. This is all took place on Friday 8th November 2024 the default was registered 21st September 2024. I phoned SKY this morning (another 1hr 30 min call) to confirm everything is ok only to be told that everything I was told on Friday when I made the payment of £798 to pay the default was incorrect. I have requested transcripts of the calls for proof but this doesnt really help me in the short term with mortgage application. I was also told that SKY update credit agencies once per month.. Can anyone help me with this, im litteraly at my whitts end dealing with SKY Customer service.

@DalHop  We are all customers here and from your post it is clear you defaulted on payments, therefore the default stands, if Sky have said they will remove then you need to wait for it to be removed or raise it with the CRA, there is nothing anyone here can do regarding your credit file.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

@DalHop How could you not be aware the TV had a credit agreement? you would have had to apply for it and sign the agreement before it was delivered, so claiming not to be aware is odd.

With regards to the default im not sure Sky have any obligation to remove it, regarldess of what an agent told you as you did in deed default on the payment, paying it off in full would not remove the default it would just update your account to settled.
