I am 90 years old with a Sky Essential and basic broadband ( not fibre) and talk anytime.
My contract expires end of this month and my monthly payments will go up for £55 to £84 a month.
I spoke to Sky and asked for a better deal . I was told at fiirst that a better deal would be £66 but with no talk anytime ( Basically they are just quoting my renewal price less talk anytime cost!)
I was then put through to someone else who said that the best deal they can do is at the £84 a month.
This seems so unfair as new customers can get Fibre and anytime talk/ Sky ultimate TV for around £51 a month.
I habe been a customer for nearly 20 years ! I feel like they are holding me to ransome. I should leave but at 90 it is such a hassle to lose all the services while I try and sort out a new supplier. Just deeply dissappointed with the treatment of a pensioner on a basic pension!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAll providers do this now in that good discounts are becoming harder to find. You're unlikely to get near a new customer deal.
Being a pensioner has no relevance to any offer you might see I'm afraid.
